Building Tomorrow
and responsible development of its aggregate resources.

Why does Sand and gravel matter?
Sand and gravel are the key ingredients for the materials used to build, maintain, and repair roads, homes, schools, hospitals, buildings and is used in other applications, such as oil extraction and cosmetics.
Glass is made entirely from sand and gravel; Asphalt is made from 90%+ sand and gravel; concrete is made from 80%+ Without sand and gravel, none of those products would exist.
Gravel is a non-renewable resource and it must be stewarded to benefit all Albertans today and for future generations.
